Moortown Stud is predominantly a National Hunt Stud Farm situated in the South East corner of Ireland in the County Wexford. A stones throw away from Rosslare Europort with great access to the UK and France.
Having started out mainly racing National Hunt horses on the Irish Point to Point and jumping scene, Moortown Stud has developed over the course of the past 30 years to now stand 2 stallions, along with a host of broodmares with the aim of breeding future champions as well as continuing to train National Hunt horses under the watchful eye of Dermot Day.
Watar was acquired from France in 2012 having raced with Freddie Head. With over 300 stock on the ground, it’s only a matter of time before more of his offspring add his two winners already. The winter of 2019/2020 will see quite a few of his offspring running having won or been placed in point to points in the early parts of 2019.
Life Force came to Moortown Stud in 2017. An unraced son of leading international sire Invincible Spirit and a full brother to Vale of York (Currently Standing in France).
